Job summary

UCSF seeks an associate physician (MD) to serve as a Medical Provider at Ward 86, the HIV/AIDS Clinic at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. The physician will deliver comprehensive medical care to people living with HIV and those at risk, including assessments, HIV management, ART prescriptions, and preventive services.

Candidates should be MDs board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with HIV primary care experience, strong communication

Qualifications

• MD board certified (or board eligible) in Internal Medicine or Family and Community Medicine.
• Experience providing HIV primary care to adults living with HIV.
• Experience and interest working with vulnerable patients in safety‑net settings.
• Spanish language proficiency (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for a panel of patients living with HIV, including primary care and ART management.
• Diagnose and manage HIV‑related conditions and preventive care.
• Prescribe antiretroviral therapies and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
• Engage in patient education and counseling.
• Attend Ward 86 HIV Clinic shifts as needed.
