Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Pharmacy is required.
• New Jersey pharmacy license or eligibility within 6 months is required.
• Postgraduate (PGY2) residency in the required specialty is required.
• Board Certification in the specialty is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical pharmacy services across specialties.
• Review physician orders to determine therapeutic rationale and safe patient regimens.
• Oversee and monitor data collection for patients.
• Educate health professionals, pharmacy staff, patients and students through inservices and materials.
• Provide preceptorship and mentorship to students, faculty and residents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop policies, guidelines and protocols.
• Support formulary reviews and drug use evaluations for cost containment.
• Contribute to daily collaboration with clinical teams and departmental initiatives.
• Communicate recommendations clearly to the healthcare team.
