Job summary

BayCare in Clearwater, FL seeks a Board-Certified Chaplain (BCC) to join the Palliative Care department as a full-time clinical member of the health care team. The role provides spiritual care to patients, families, and staff, grounded in theology and pastoral practice.

The position requires NAJC/APC/NACC board certifications, a Master’s in Theology, four units/1600 hours of CPE, and ecclesiastical endorsement.

• Master's degree in Theology from an accredited university.
• Clinical Pastoral Education: 4 units, 1600 hours.
• Ecclesiastical endorsement required.

This position will support the Palliative Care department.

Summary:

• The Board-Certified Chaplain (BCC) is a full clinical member of the health care team and is considered the lead expert in Spiritual Care issues.
• Provides services for the pastoral/spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff members.
• Knowledgeable in theology, spirituality, and pastoral care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Required Certification is NAJC (National Association of Jewish Chaplains) or APC (Association of Professional Chaplains) or NACC (National Association of Catholic Chaplains).
• Required Education is a Master's Degree from and Accredited University in Theology Related. 4 units, 1600 hours of Clinical Pastoral Education.
• Required - Ecclesiastical endorsement.
• Board Certification required
