Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Infectious Disease Physician to join our Infectious Diseases Division.to theBehavioral Health DepartmentatNYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln.Lincoln is a designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties including its award- winning Cancer and Breast Centers.This position offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient infectious disease consultation, participate in antimicrobial stewardship, and engage in medical education and research. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient-centered care, infection control, and academic teaching, as well as experience or interest in HIV/AIDS, transplant infections, multi-drug-resistant organisms (MDROs), or travel medicine.

The ID division is part of the Department of Medicine. It provides inpatient consultations across the hospital and runs a busy Immunotherapy clinic. The ID division is involved in multiple activities - from decreasing hospital acquired infections to antibiotic stewardship.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification/Eligibility in Infectious Disease
• Eligible for medical licensure in New York. Experience in HIV, antimicrobial stewardship, or infection control is preferred but not required.
• Strong commitment to evidence-based medicine, research, and education.
• Preferred (not required): Experience in hospital epidemiology, travel medicine, or transplant infectious diseases.
• Interest in academic medicine and medical education
  
  

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $224,000* (board eligible); $229,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $341,920** (board eligible) and $347,420** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
