About the Position

Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst to lead the Behavioral Support Specialist Team. As a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), this role will supervise Board‑Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and other professionals who implement behavior‑analytic interventions. The position supports the implementation, monitoring, and oversight of behavioral support services for clients participating in programming at Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center. Responsibilities include developing, tracking, and providing positive behavior supports to maintain a stable behavioral environment, including individualized support plans, interventions, and group facilitation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Behavioral Analysis Services

Facilitate Behavioral Analysis services to ensure clients receive appropriate interventions and progress is documented.

Collaborate with Rehabilitation Team to review charts before admission. Assist in addressing participant needs using evidence-based supports. Resolve conflicts and ensure communication with students, staff, sponsors, families, and support.

Follow up with clients to ensure appointments are kept. Provide information to Counselors to support employability and training.

Social & Interpersonal Skills

Provide interventions and instruction on social and interpersonal skills, psycho educational groups, and support groups based on campus needs.

Identify interpersonal and social skill issues. Provide daily individual and group interventions with progress assessments. Develop Behavior Support Plans and document follow up. Design and oversee ABA based programming and facilitate group learning environments.

ABA Expertise

A BCBA addresses behavioral challenges through evidence-based interventions, including FBAs, BIPs, staff training, monitoring outcomes, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Improve emotional regulation, social skills, and vocational readiness. Reduce staff burnout. Enhance compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and ADA. Strengthen relationships with families and community partners.

Documentation & Communication

Document client interactions and services in a timely manner and communicate updates to the Rehabilitation Team.

Monitor and document client progress.

Provide program information to visitors and consumers.

Process records per policy.

Respond to inquiries from consumers, families, community organizations, Rehabilitation Counselors, and other professionals.

Improved student outcomes in emotional regulation, social skills, and vocational readiness.

Reduced staff burnout and turnover due to better support and training.

Enhanced compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and ADA regulations regarding behavioral supports for K12 and adult participants. Strengthened relationships with families and community partners.

Documentation & Communication

Documents interactions and services provided to clients in a timely manner and communicates these services (or absence from services) to the Rehabilitation Team.

Monitors and documents progress of clients on caseload.

Provides general overview information concerning WWRC programs and services to visitors and consumers.

Processes consumer records and documentation in accordance with center and departmental policy and procedures.

Responds to inquiries from consumers, family members, community organizations, Rehabilitation Counselors, and other professionals.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge

Knowledge of characteristics of various emotional, physical, behavioral, and developmental disabilities.

Knowledge of social issues within a residential treatment or educational setting.

Knowledge and skills in behavioral analysis, and behavioral management principles and techniques.

Knowledge and experience in developing behavior support plans to address individual needs of consumers.

Knowledge and experience in providing therapeutic interventions to individuals with disabilities in relation to vocational goals.

Knowledge of leading psycho-educational and support groups in a residential setting.

Working knowledge of Windows based computer office software and similar software.

Understanding of case management within a vocational rehabilitation perspective.

Skills/Abilities

Skills in observing and collection of data.

Skills in data entry, including working knowledge of office procedures, tracking systems, and work task organization.

Skills in working directly with people in an empathic manner leading to therapeutic learning experiences.

  • Obtain ongoing continuing education Adhere to the Behavioral Analyst Certification Board’s ethics requirements and self-reporting requirements.
  • Submit a completed recertification application and associated fees every two years before recertification date.
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required for Entry into Position

Board Certified Behavioral Analysis certification.

Additional Considerations

Experience providing behavioral therapy, or treating the individual needs of persons with physical, behavioral, substance abuse, emotional, or developmental disabilities.
