Bancroft, a leading nonprofit serving individuals with autism and related diagnoses, seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for our Residential Services in Passaic County, NJ. The role leads behavior plan development and serves on an interdisciplinary team within structured day programs and community settings.

The BCBA will direct assessment and treatment of challenging behavior, supervise ABA Specialists, and contribute to clinical research in a collaborative, multisite environment.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.
  • BCBA certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and implementation of behavior plans, including functional behavior assessment/analysis and treatment evaluations.
  • Oversees data review and analysis to ensure effective programming.

Bancroft is actively seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Center of Excellence; a team of approximately 50 Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs/BCBA-Ds) providing services across our organization. We work together to treat challenging behavior, build skills and have the ability to collaborate with a large group of like-minded clinicians.

We are looking for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for our Residential Services for our Adult programs located in the Passaic County area. The program serves adults, primarily with ASD and related diagnoses, who may experience a variety of behavioral challenges. The programs provide community-based residential and day habilitation services. Services are provided within structured day programs, community volunteer and employment sites, group homes or apartment settings. The BCBA will be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team including operations, behavioral, medical, and therapeutic services as well as families and funders. The BCBA will direct the assessment and treatment of challenging behavior, along with skill acquisition components of treatment within this framework. The BCBA will serve in a leadership and supervisory role, managing ABA Specialists (often LBAs in training) while also conducting direct clinical work.

Responsibilities
  • Leads the development and implementation of behavior plans; this includes functional behavior assessment/analysis, preference assessments and treatment evaluations.
  • Engages in ongoing data review and analysis to ensure effective programming.
  • Identifies training needs and develops and conducts those trainings to ensure the ongoing knowledge and ability to effectively implement behavior plans.
  • Conducts/oversees team screening admission evaluations and intake assessments; oversees the admission, transition, and discharge processes.
  • Coordinates and leads clinical case review meetings (rounds) to ensure proper data review and discussion of the needs of persons’ served.
  • Serves as a behavior analysis expert to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
  • Conducts and presents research to internal and external audiences.
  • Serves as a clinical supervisor, implementing ABA themselves but also, training and directly supervising Behavior Support Specialists.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field, plus a minimum of two years of related experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, required.
  • BCBA certification required. *New Jersey licensure in behavior analysis is required.
  • Prior experience in functional assessment and treatment development is highly preferred. Prior management experience is also preferred.
  • Though NJ licensure is a requirement, candidates with an active BCBA certification may be eligible to interview.
