What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to evaluate behavior, skills, and needs
- Develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on assessment results and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Design and implement evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions tailored to each client's unique needs
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans to reflect progress and address emerging needs
- Educate and support parents and caregivers in understanding ASD and implementing behavioral strategies at home
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the BACB
- Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related discipline
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must have reliable transportation
- Strong reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis programming with behavioral intervention
- Familiarity with CPT codes, payor rules, and regulations
- Knowledge of research-based treatment modalities and assessment techniques
- Ability to write technical materials and present information effectively to small groups
- Experience in crisis management procedures
