Qualifications

  • Current BCBA certification through BACB.
  • Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of ABA principles, assessments, and treatment planning.
  • Experience conducting FBAs and developing behavior intervention plans.
  • Ability to analyze data and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Excellent clinical documentation and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Virginia licensure for practice in Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct FBAs and develop individualized behavioral treatment plans.
  • Identify barriers and develop interventions based on function.
  • Establish measurable goals and track client progress.
  • Assess across home, school, clinic, and community settings.
  • Utilize ABA assessment tools such as VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, ADOS-2.
  • Prepare clinical assessment summaries and treatment recommendations.
  • Develop data-collection systems for treatment staff.
  • Analyze data and adjust treatment strategies.
  • Prepare progress reports and maintain documentation.
  • Lead treatment team meetings and coordinate care.
  • Provide training to Behavior Specialists and ABA staff.
  • Train team on treatment implementation, data collection, graphing, and de-escalation.
  • Mentor professionals pursuing certification.
  • Provide families with training and education on strategies.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to develop and oversee evidence-based behavioral treatment for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and other complex behavioral needs.

This role combines clinical assessment, treatment planning, data analysis, staff supervision, and family collaboration to create meaningful, measurable improvements in clients' lives.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate, data-driven BCBA who values person-centered care and enjoys collaborating with families and interdisciplinary treatment teams.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized behavioral treatment plans.
  • Identify behavioral barriers and develop interventions based on the function of behavior.
  • Establish measurable goals and objectives to track client progress.
  • Conduct assessments across home, school, clinic, and community environments as needed.
  • Utilize ABA assessment tools including VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and ADOS-2.
  • Prepare clinical assessment summaries and treatment recommendations for authorization and continued care.
  • Develop effective data-collection systems for treatment staff.
  • Analyze behavioral data and adjust treatment strategies based on client progress.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Develop and maintain treatment and discharge plans.
  • Lead treatment team meetings to review progress and coordinate care.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training to Behavior Specialists and ABA staff.
  • Train team members on treatment implementation, data collection, graphing, positive behavior support, de-escalation, and environmental modifications.
  • Mentor behavior professionals working toward certification.
  • Provide families and caregivers with training and education on behavioral strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent and effective treatment.
  • Promote positive, person-centered care focused on dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Qualifications
  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, behavioral assessments, and treatment planning.
  • Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and developing behavior intervention plans.
  • Ability to analyze behavioral data and make evidence-based treatment decisions.
  • Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills.

  • Valid driver's license required.
