Descrição da oferta de emprego

Reports to: Director of Clinical Services
Location: New Horizons in Autism | New Jersey
Employment Type: Full-Time, On site, In-Person

At New Horizons in Autism, we believe every individual deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, build meaningful relationships, and live a life with greater independence.

We’re looking for a passionate, creative, and highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our Clinical Team. This is an opportunity to do more than develop treatment plans—you’ll help shape meaningful outcomes for individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities while empowering the people who support them every day.

As a BCBA, you’ll bring clinical expertise directly into residential, day, community, and other service settings. You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, coach and mentor behavioral professionals, support caregivers and staff, and use data-driven strategies to create programs that make a real difference.

This position is typically scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM but requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. The role is fully in person and requires travel between multiple work sites. Our agency supports adults ages 21 and older on the Autism Spectrum, and BCBAs may be required to work with both males and females. Individuals we support may exhibit challenging behaviors, including PICA, aggression, and self-injurious behavior. This is a hands‑on role that may require crisis management techniques, physical redirection, blocking pads, and physical restraint when necessary, with appropriate training provided. Are you comfortable with and able to meet all of these job requirements?

If you’re ready to turn behavioral science into meaningful, measurable change, we want to meet you.

What You’ll Do

You’ll oversee a dynamic caseload and flex your schedule to meet the needs of the individuals and teams you serve. Your work will include:

Conducting comprehensive skill acquisition assessments, including VB-MAPP, FISH, Essential for Living, Preference Assessments, and AFLS.

Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and Functional Analyses for challenging behavior.

Developing individualized skill acquisition programs, behavior strategies, and behavior support plans.

Designing and implementing function-based interventions and data collection systems.

Reviewing data and modifying treatment plans to ensure continued progress.

Supporting Natural Environment Training and developing supported employment programming when appropriate.

Training caregivers, direct support professionals, BCaBAs, RBTs, and other stakeholders in effective behavior support strategies.

Observing program implementation and providing hands‑on coaching and feedback.

Conducting intake assessments for prospective clients.

Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and continuously improve services.

Providing face‑to‑face consultation, modeling interventions, reviewing data, and troubleshooting challenges.

Completing timely assessments, reports, consultation notes, service logs, and other required documentation.

Leading behavior support meetings, in‑services, professional development workshops, and trainings.

Providing supervision to BCaBAs, RBTs, and candidates pursuing BCBA certification in accordance with BACB requirements and NHIA's supervision program.

Supporting the development of continuing education content that meets BACB ACE requirements.

Representing the Clinical Team and New Horizons in Autism at designated professional and agency events.
