Ozark Center, part of Freeman Health System, seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join the Autism Center team. You will perform functional assessments, develop and monitor behavior support plans, analyze data, and train staff and families in evidence-based practices.
Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in psychology or related field, BCBA certification, and at least one year of experience with children with autism.
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) assists the Clinical Director, the client, and their families in progress toward specific goals. This person completes functional behavior assessments and skill assessments, developing and monitoring behavior support plans and individualized treatment plans, completing progress reports, recording, and analyzing data, conducting staff training, providing on-sight monitoring, and working with a team of other professionals. BCBA provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance use and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. BCBA demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. BCBA will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. BCBA reports to the Clinical Director of the Autism Center.
A graduate of an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in special education, psychology, social work, counseling or closely related field.
A minimum of one (1) year experience in working with children with autism.
Typical physical demands include prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, stooping, and occasional team lifting to 200 pounds. Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed. Requires the ability to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours and deal with irate individuals. TB test upon hire.
