Job description

An established, mission-driven nonprofit in Sioux City, Iowa, is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to help expand access to high-quality autism services in an underserved region.

Families throughout Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota rely on a limited number of specialized providers. In larger metropolitan areas, a BCBA may become one of many clinicians serving an already-developed network. Here, one exceptional BCBA can help create capacity where it is genuinely needed. Your work can give more youth access to effective services closer to home while strengthening the families, technicians, schools, and community partners supporting them.

This opportunity is designed for a BCBA who wants to remain connected to the clinical work while serving as a trusted source of clinical direction. You will conduct assessments, design and evaluate treatment, guide behavior technicians and individuals pursuing certification, train caregivers and staff, and help ensure that skills generalize into home, school, and community settings.

Your influence will extend well beyond the youth on your caseload. Every technician you develop, caregiver you equip, and professional partner you align strengthens the region's ability to support youth with autism. This is an opportunity to bring your expertise to a community where your presence will be visible, meaningful, and deeply felt.

What You Will Lead
  • Conduct functional analyses, skill assessments, and ongoing clinical reviews.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction programs.
  • Supervise behavior technicians in implementing and documenting clinical goals.
  • Provide comprehensive, hands-on supervision to individuals working toward BCBA certification.
  • Train incoming and existing staff using behavioral skills training and behavior-specific feedback.
  • Partner with parents and caregivers to support the generalization of skills into home and community life.
  • Collaborate with school and IEP teams and other professionals when appropriate.
  • Review data, documentation, progress notes, goals, and discharge planning for quality and timeliness.
  • Translate clinical decisions into clear written protocols before implementation.
  • Help strengthen a culture of ethical practice, consistency, curiosity, and respect.
What You Bring
  • Current BCBA certification and the ability to obtain Iowa behavior analyst licensure.
  • A master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education, special education, or a related field.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating ABA programming for youth with autism.
  • The ability to manage and supervise staff, support families, and teach ABA principles clearly.
  • Experience with standardized assessments such as VB-MAPP, AFLS, ABLLS-R, PEAK, or comparable tools.
  • Strong clinical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
  • A commitment to compassionate, individualized, ethical, and data-informed care.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Join a mission that recognizes the importance of supporting youth, caregivers, families, and the broader community.
  • Influence clinical quality throughout a tri-state service region.
  • Combine hands-on clinical involvement with leadership and staff development.
  • Work directly with youth, families, behavior technicians, schools, and other professional partners.
  • Receive competitive compensation ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Access benefits, a 401(k), continuing-education funding, and relocation assistance.
  • Join an established nonprofit organization with decades of experience serving people with disabilities.
  • Build your career in Sioux City, a regional hub with a cost of living approximately 20% below the national average.
