Job summary

Illuminating Steps LLC in Roosevelt, NY is seeking a passionate BCBA to join our growing team and deliver high-quality ABA services in a school-based setting. You will conduct FBAs and skills assessments, develop treatment plans, supervise RBTs, and collaborate with families to ensure consistency of care.

You will lead data collection and analysis, maintain compliant documentation, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active BCBA certification in good standing.
• Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience with individuals with ASD and developmental disabilities.
• Proficiency in FBAs, VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R or similar assessments.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills for supervising RBTs and staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for parent and team collaboration.
• School-based experience; initially 2 days per week with potential increase.

Responsibilities:

• School-based
• Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including FBAs and skills assessments, for clients
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized ABA treatment plans and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
• Provide direct supervision and training to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and paraprofessionals
• Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to drive clinical decision-making
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency of care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with funding and regulatory requirements
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development activities

Requirements:

• Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing
• Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field
• Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities for 2+ years
• Proficiency in conducting FBAs, VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, or similar assessments
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills for supervising RBTs and staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for parent and team collaboration
• School-based, initially starting with 2 days per week, with potential increase
