Job summary

Acadia Healthcare in Memphis, Tennessee seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to provide quality ABA services on the Specialty Pediatric Unit and to develop and implement ongoing services for staff. The BCBA will supervise RBTs/BHAs, train new staff, and conduct assessments including ADOS, while staying current with advances in treatment and hospital policies.

Flexible schedule; weekends or evenings may be required to meet patient needs and program goals.

Qualifications

• Experience with the development and implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with working with adolescent population.
• Skilled and competent to provide services to the patient.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of ABA programming on the Specialized Pediatric Unit.
• Provide supervision to the Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavioral Health Associates.

• Facilitates daily team meetings and attends required staff meetings.
• Conducts assessments including ADOS in a timely manner.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.

Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT:The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides quality ABA services to the patients on theSpecialty Pediatric Unit. In addition, the BCBA serves as the professional who develops and implementsongoing services to the staff.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist in the implementation of ABA programming on the Specialized Pediatric Unit Provides supervision to the Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavioral Health Associates Trains new staff on ABA techniques Keeps abreast of advances in treatment and sets appropriate goals for self-improvement Facilitates daily team meetings Attends staff meetings as required and completes all yearly mandatory in-services Provides direct services to the patients on the Specialized Pediatric Unit Conducts the appropriate assessments including ADOS and other specific assessments in atimely manner Participates in performance improvement activities Follows all hospital policies and procedures Must maintain license or certification in good standing Flexible schedule. Possible weekends or evenings when appropriate Employee will be required to perform other job related duties as assigned by their supervisorOTHER FUNCTIONS: Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by BACB CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered byfacility). First aid may be required based on state or facility.
