Summary of Position

The Physician in Allergy & Immunology is responsible for providing comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and management services to patients with allergic and immunologic disorders. This role leads clinical decision-making, oversees patient care plans, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based care. The Physician maintains compliance with clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and organizational goals to optimize patient outcomes and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute, chronic, and complex allergic and immunologic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including pharmacologic therapies, immunotherapy, and other interventions.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as skin testing, pulmonary function tests, and laboratory evaluations.
• Provide patient education and counseling regarding disease management, prevention, and treatment adherence.
• Collaborate closely with Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, nursing staff, and administrative teams to coordinate care.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and continuing medical education activities.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, and compliance with all applicable laws and professional standards.
• Provide leadership in clinical protocol development and implementation.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to other healthcare providers as needed.
• Engage in community outreach and patient engagement activities as appropriate.
