Job summary

Celestica in Richardson, Texas, is seeking a Production Technical Operator 3 for the 2nd shift. You will perform manual assembly, operate automated equipment, hand solder, test, inspect, and support line setups while maintaining quality.

You should have a high school diploma and experience in electronics manufacturing; certifications as defined by site operations; ability to troubleshoot, calibrate equipment, and work with a team to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Site-specific certifications required.
• In-depth knowledge of board assembly process and product process flow.
• In-depth knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications and SMT processing systems.
• Ability to set up, operate, calibrate and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.
• Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and address those problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
• Ability to work effectively with team members and lead the team to high quality production within tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of in-circuit and functional test fixturing.
• Knowledge of computer applications (Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, documentation control systems).
• More advanced manufacturing systems knowledge

Responsibilities

• Performs manual assembly, operation of automated assembly equipment, hand soldering, operation of automated test equipment, and inspection and repair of products.
• In addition will perform machine and line setups, feeder repairs and first line preventative maintenance.
