Job summary

BMW of Long Island City in Long Island City, NY is seeking experienced, BMW-certified Service Technicians. The role requires BMW certification at the Associate (B) level or higher and prior BMW dealership experience.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to BMW factory standards using BMW diagnostic tools. We offer compensation based on certification level, experience, and expertise, plus medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), PTO, and ongoing BMW training.

Qualifications

• Five years of automotive technician experience.
• Current BMW certification at B level or higher.
• ASE credentials completed and current.
• BMW High-Voltage training and certification preferred.
• Strong diagnostic, mechanical and electrical skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete repair orders as assigned.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns and determine the appropriate repairs.
• Perform advanced drivability, electrical, and computerized diagnostics using BMW technology.
• Repair and maintain engines, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, air-conditioning systems, and other mechanical and electronic components.
• Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance or repair needs and communicate findings to the Service Advisor.
• Provide accurate labor, time, and parts estimates.
• Follow BMW repair instructions, technical bulletins, warranty requirements, and dealership procedures.
• Perform quality-control inspections and post-repair test drives.
• Complete repair orders, warranty documentation, and other required records accurately.
• Communicate additional repair needs, concerns, and potential delays promptly.
