A leading healthcare institution is seeking a dedicated Imaging Staff Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care and coordinate patient involvement. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree in Nursing and a Registered Nurse license. Responsibilities include patient education, documentation, and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure high standards of care.
- Provides competent, compassionate nursing care based on scientific principles and the use of the nursing process within a primary nursing model.
- Creates and maintains a therapeutic environment for patients and families.
- Clearly articulates the role of the Imaging staff nurse to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Identifies, facilitates, and evaluates nursing care outcomes for individual or groups of patients using the nursing process.
- Coordinates patient, family, and healthcare team involvement in care, including education and discharge planning.
- Documents relevant patient information throughout all phases of care.
- Communicates care plans and pertinent information effectively with other healthcare team members.
- Contributes to setting standards of excellence in patient care and participates in improving patient services cost-effectively.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide direct nursing care considering age, development, and cultural factors.
- Collaborates with other professionals and supervises nonprofessional nursing personnel to maintain recognized standards.
- Educates and directs nursing and non-nursing staff for whom responsible.
- Participates in orientation of new staff members, both permanent and temporary.
- Utilizes nursing resources appropriately and interprets hospital and departmental policies to staff and team members.
- Participates in daily operational activities to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Uses resources efficiently to optimize patient care.
- Provides input to management regarding unit needs.
- Participates in committees for developing nursing and hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills based on current nursing education practices.
- Adheres to departmental requirements for competency-based training, especially in radiology.
- Identifies personal learning needs and plans for professional development.
- Engages in continuing education and contributes to professional and academic programs.
Education
Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Registered Nurse (RN) license required; HR preferred.
Experience
