SriMatrix health in Seattle, WA is seeking an Advanced Specialty Staff RN for Outpatient Hematology Oncology to serve as a BMT Coordinator. You will coordinate care for patients with blood cancers and transplant needs, assess medical, emotional, and financial needs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

This role emphasizes compassionate patient support and seamless coordination across pre-admission to post-transplant stages.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Washington Registered Nurse License (must be obtained upon hire).
• National Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association (must be obtained upon hire).
• At least 1 year of Hematology Oncology Nursing experience in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the care of BMT and Blood Cancer patients from pre-admission through post-transplant, ensuring effective communication with all involved parties.
• Monitoring the physical, emotional, psychosocial, and financial needs of patients before, during, and after the transplant process.
• Educating patients and families about the disease, treatment options, and procedures related to BMT.
• Coordinating the transfer of patient care from the Stem Cell Transplant Program back to the referring physician.
• Managing outpatient drug benefits and advocating for patients to ensure appropriate care is received.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies such as JCAHO, OSHA, FACT, HIPAA, and NMDP.
