Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA, is seeking a Registered Nurse to plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process. You will assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate discharge planning within a 8-hour day shift.

The role requires MA nursing licensure, BLS, and ACLS in select units, with a BSN preferred. Signing bonuses may be available, and the organization emphasizes respect and teamwork across a large health system.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.
• ACLS required in select areas within 6 months or first scheduled course offering.
• PALS required in select areas within 6 months or first scheduled course offering.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge, appropriate to patient development.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others per job description and competency.
