Job summary

University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to support Adult Inpatient BMT/CT and Outpatient Migration Program. This 1.0 FTE role accepts NP or PA with credentialing.

You will rotate between inpatient and outpatient settings under BMT physicians, delivering complex hematology care and leading multidisciplinary collaboration. The position requires board certification for NP or PA, Michigan licensure, and ACLS/BLS, with strong experience in acutely ill

Qualifications

• Current specialty certification to practice as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
• Current specialty certification to practice as a FNP, AGPCNP, or ANP with 4 years experience in inpatient BMT APP.
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Michigan.
• Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner recognized by the NCSBN.
• Current DEA registration required
• AHA Approved BLS
• AHA Approved ACLS
• 1-2 years expertise in management of acutely ill patients including Telemetry, EKG interpretation and ACLS at the APP level.
• BMT APP experience required will consider those with Heme-Onc or Hospitalist experience only.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between Adult Inpatient BMT/CT and Outpatient Migration Program.
• Provide care and direct management of adults with malignant hematologic disorders.
• Perform history/physicals, admissions and discharges, and education.
• Recognize and treat sepsis, GVHD, CRS, IEC-EC, ICANS, and cytopenias.
• Perform bone marrow procedures and review tests.
• Participate in clinical trials and consent patients.
• Facilitate transition of care between inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Attend programmatic meetings and CME activities.
