Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking an experienced BMS Test Engineer to develop and execute system-level validation plans for battery management systems. You will perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of BMS hardware and software, including HIL and bench-level testing.

The role requires scripting proficiency (Python, CAPL), strong CAN analysis skills, and hands-on use of CANoe/CANalyzer, Vector tools, MATLAB/Simulink, and dSPACE.

Qualifications

• Experience performing system-level validation of Battery Management Systems (BMS).
• Proficient in scripting for automated tests (Python, CAPL).
• Knowledge of CAN networks, CAN logs, and diagnostic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute system-level test plans, test cases, and validation procedures for BMS.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of BMS hardware and software.
• Conduct Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and bench-level testing for battery systems.
• Validate protection features including over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, thermal protection, and fault handling.
• Analyze CAN logs, diagnostics, and test results to identify issues and support root cause analysis.
• Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues.
• Automate test scripts and validation processes using Python, CAPL, or similar scripting tools.
• Support verification of SOC, SOH, balancing, charging, and thermal management algorithms.
• Use tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, Vector tools, MATLAB/Simulink, or dSPACE for testing and analysis.
• Maintain test documentation, validation reports, traceability matrices, and defect tracking records.
• Support vehicle-level or pack-level integration and validation activities.
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality and safety standards including ISO 26262.
