Massachusetts Convention Center Authority seeks a skilled BMS Technician to monitor building systems, including Fire Alarm and Lighting, via computerized interfaces and regular inspections. You will document preventive maintenance and notify the Building Superintendent of needed repairs to minimize downtime.
This role requires a college or technical certificate with digital controls and BMS experience, plus at least 3 years in a large facility.

Perform regular monitoring of all building systems inclusive of Fire Alarm and Lighting through computerized interfaces and physical inspections of the associated equipment in accordance with all standard operating procedures and policies. Document and notify necessary preventative maintenance and repairs to the facility equipment to minimize detrimental effects.

A certificate from college or technical school which includes training in a least two of the following: digital controls, and possess knowledge and experience in the use and operation of computerized Building Maintenance System (BMS), at least 3 years related experience in a large facility with a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment, including food service equipment (walk-in coolers, dish machines, portable hot boxes).

Due to the nature of this work, this department operates 7 days per week 24 hours per day. The employee typically works a fixed or rotating shift consisting of days, nights, weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department. The ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays is required.
In order to project dignity and decorum expected by the public, appropriate dress and good grooming are expected of all employees. Complete uniforms are supplied and required to be worn on a daily basis.
