Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc., located in Tysons, Virginia, seeks a Technical Specialist 2 to support the startup, testing, and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Monitoring and Control Systems (EMCS). The role requires effective communication and may require travel to project sites across Virginia and beyond. Certifications in automation platforms are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with BMS and/or HVAC controls systems.
• Hands-on experience with system startup, point-to-point testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot controllers, sensors, and HVAC equipment.
• Working knowledge of BMS platforms such as Niagara or EcoStruxure.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of BMS, EMCS, and EPMS systems on site.
• Perform startup activities and sequence testing for systems.
• Assist in software and hardware acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot TCP/IP and Modbus communications.
