Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a BMS Systems Engineer to join our New York City team. The role focuses on producing control sequences, software databases, and energy reporting for building automation systems.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field, at least 4 years in HVAC/controls, and experience with DDC programming and BACnet/Modbus integration. On-site in NYC with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in EE, ME, CE, Math or Physics.
Minimum 4 years experience in the HVAC/controls industry.
DDC programming and third party device integration with BACnet and Modbus preferred.

Responsibilities

Produce drawings, sequences of operation, and bills of material for building automation systems.
Develop BMS software databases (programming and graphics) per engineering docs and project specs.
Design, integrate and support network migration for Ethernet/BACnet/Modbus platforms.
Maintain As‑Built drawings in AutoCAD, Visio, Excel and Word; update as required.
Visit the field to adjust design sequences and perform commissioning activities with technicians.
Mentor younger colleagues and collaborate with project team and clients.
Develop energy reporting, power metering, trending and billing programs.
