Job summary

Wander Staffing is seeking an experienced BMET instructor for Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. You will teach BMET students through classroom and hands-on instruction covering installation, inspection, maintenance, repair, calibration, and troubleshooting of biomedical equipment.

The role requires 3+ years as a medical/dental equipment repair technician with DoD BMET experience and instructor credentials.

Qualifications

BMET training graduate with 3+ years as medical/dental equipment repair technician
Knowledge of installing, inspecting, maintaining, repairing, calibrating, and troubleshooting biomedical equipment
ITC completed within 5 years or able to complete within 30 days of hire
onboard METC instructor onboarding CFD-IC/CTC/MIO requirements
Strong communication and presentation skills; knowledge of adult learning and instructional methods
DoD BMET experience in an MTF or MERC with instructor experience is desirable

Responsibilities

Teach BMET students through classroom and hands-on instruction covering installation, inspection, maintenance, repair, calibration, and troubleshooting of biomedical equipment
Train students on safe equipment use, basic operating and physiological principles, tools, measuring devices, soldering, manuals, and preventive maintenance
Review and update course materials and exams, set learning expectations, and adapt teaching approaches
Maintain attendance and academic records, administer exams, and provide tutoring when needed
Provide course feedback, participate in training and meetings, and follow institutional requirements
