Job summary

CDI in Irving, TX seeks a skilled Welder to perform welding and fabrication per engineering specifications. Proficiency in MIG welding and blueprint reading is required, with certification preferred to ensure quality and safety in production.

The ideal candidate will lift up to 75 pounds, work hands-on in a fast-paced environment, and adhere to 5S and CDI values – FAST, FUN, EASY, COMMUNITY, GROWTH. This is a full-time on-site position with room for growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Welder experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient in MIG welding; TIG/Flux-Cored a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Current welding certification (AWS) preferred or able to pass internal test.
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding of metal components and assemblies using MIG welding techniques according to blueprints and work orders.
• Perform welding of metal components and assemblies using various techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG) as specified by blueprints and work orders.
• Prepare materials for welding, which includes grinding, cutting, fitting, and positioning parts for proper alignment.
• Conduct in-process visual inspection of welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards before moving to the next stage.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, hand tools, and measuring instruments in a safe and proper manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all company safety protocols and 5S principles.
