Job summary

TECHEAD is seeking an experienced Blue Yonder Functional & Technical Engineer to lead the implementation, configuration, integration, and support of the Blue Yonder WMS solution in a Nashville manufacturing environment. The role spans functional, technical, and project delivery responsibilities across inbound, warehouse, and outbound processes.

The ideal candidate will serve as the primary SME for Blue Yonder WMS, lead end-to-end implementations, and collaborate with ERP/MES teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Blue Yonder implementation experience.
• Proven experience implementing and configuring Blue Yonder WMS across inbound and outbound warehouse operations.
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution environments.
• Strong understanding of inbound receiving, outbound fulfillment, and transportation processes; warehouse execution including directed put-away, directed work, replenishment, picking, staging, and loading; manufacturing operations and work order integration; inventory management; and supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across manufacturing, receiving, warehouse, inventory control, shipping and logistics.
• Design future-state business processes and workflows; create functional specifications and process documentation.
• Support end-user training, testing, and operational readiness activities; drive user adoption and change management.
• Configure Blue Yonder WMS functionality across all core areas and support integrations with ERP, MES, transportation, and warehouse systems.
• Troubleshoot application, interface, and data issues; support system upgrades and production deployments.
• Lead implementation activities through design, build, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare; coordinate with vendors, SI partners, and IT resources.

Our manufacturing client in Nashville is seeking an experienced Blue Yonder Functional & Technical Engineer to lead the implementation, configuration, integration, and support of the Blue Yonder Warehouse Management (WMS) solution within a complex manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary Blue Yonder Functional and Technical SME.
• Lead implementation and optimization of the Blue Yonder WMS solution across inbound, internal warehouse, manufacturing-support, and outbound processes.
• Configure and optimize Blue Yonder WMS capabilities to support receiving, directed put‑away, inventory control, work order integration, directed work, replenishment, picking, staging, loading, and outbound fulfillment.
• Assess and apply additional Blue Yonder WMS features that can improve receiving throughput, inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, material availability, and operational visibility.
• Translate business requirements into scalable system designs and technical solutions.
• Continuously evaluate available Blue Yonder WMS features and recommend practical process improvements that strengthen warehouse and manufacturing operations.

Functional Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with manufacturing, receiving, warehouse, inventory control, shipping, logistics, and business stakeholders.
• Design future-state business processes and workflows.
• Create functional specifications and business process documentation.
• Support end-user training, testing, and operational readiness activities.
• Drive user adoption and change management efforts.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Configure Blue Yonder WMS functionality across receiving, directed put‑away, inventory management, work order integration, directed work, replenishment, picking, staging, loading, and shipping.
• Design and support integrations with ERP, MES, transportation, and warehouse systems.
• Troubleshoot application, interface, and data issues.
• Support system upgrades, enhancements, and production deployments.
• Develop technical specifications and support documentation.

Project Delivery:

• Lead implementation activities through design, build, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
• Coordinate efforts between business teams, vendors, system integrators, and IT resources.
• Manage testing, defect resolution, deployment planning, and production support.
• Provide hands‑on support during receiving, warehouse, manufacturing‑integration, and outbound operational cutovers.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Blue Yonder implementation experience.
• Proven experience implementing and configuring Blue Yonder WMS across both inbound and outbound warehouse operations.
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution environments.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Inbound receiving, outbound fulfillment, and transportation processes
  • Warehouse execution, including directed put‑away, directed work, replenishment, picking, staging, and loading
  • Manufacturing operations and work order integration
  • Inventory management
  • Supply chain processes
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Experience leading full lifecycle implementations including:
  • Requirements
  • Design
  • Configuration
  • Testing
  • Cutover
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multiple end‑to‑end Blue Yonder WMS implementations across receiving, inventory, warehouse execution, manufacturing integration, and outbound fulfillment.
• Experience with manufacturing facilities operating in a multi‑shift environment.
• Experience integrating Blue Yonder with:
  • ERP platforms
  • MES systems
  • Warehouse automation
  • Transportation systems
• Experience serving as lead consultant or solution architect.
