Job summary

Wolfspeed is seeking a Blue Days Security Officer in Durham, NC. You will protect people, property and information as part of Wolfspeed’s Global Protection Department. The role features fixed 12‑hour shifts (day or night) with rotating days based on location, reporting to the Security Supervisor.

You will patrol campus and facilities, document events, and provide security escorts and event support while delivering excellent service to employees, visitors and contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of full-time work experience.
• Excellent character, integrity, customer service, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing and able to work a flexible schedule as needed to support a 24x7 environment.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Reliable transportation and a valid state issued driver’s license.
• Must be capable of frequently sitting, standing, and/or walking for long periods, including stairs and uneven terrain.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Must complete Wolfspeed training for the position of Security Officer.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report while performing patrols of campus, parking lots, and manufacturing areas; patrols may be conducted on foot and/or with a vehicle.
• Document activities and submit written reports as a result of routine patrols, alarms, or other requests for assistance.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, customers, visitors, and vendors.
• Fulfill requests for assistance from different business departments and contractors (i.e. Security escorts, traffic safety/direction details, special events support, human resources support).
