Job description

This role is responsible for operating blow molding machines and vision systems, ensuring production of high‑quality PET bottles, maintaining equipment, performing quality checks, and ensuring safety compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Operate multiple blow molding machines and vision systems using written work instructions and computer interface, following overall manufacturing processes and good manufacturing practices.
  • Start and maintain blow mold machine operation with a full understanding of the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Keep all machines within scope running and producing quality bottles while minimizing downtime; communicate problems to the following shift.
  • Complete all mold changes and set‑ups; perform minor maintenance activities.
  • Maintain daily clean‑up assignments and good housekeeping throughout the area of responsibility.
  • Support Injection Machine Operators and other team members to ensure a positive team environment.
  • Monitor quality on assigned machines, identify visual defects, and adjust processes to correct defects.
  • Maintain all required documentation of quality checks, process checks, downtime, housekeeping, and data entry.
  • Follow all safety rules and guidelines in the Amcor “No Injuries Safety Contract”; use required personal protective equipment and report unsafe acts or conditions.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous blow mold or injection mold training/experience preferred, or experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude in manufacturing processes.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to product/process quality.
  • Ability to manage time independently and complete tasks in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Willingness to work any shift and overtime as required.
Physical Requirements
  • Normal, distant, and near vision; hearing and listening.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, push/pull, bend, kneel, climb, lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50+pounds); reach up to 60in at 10ft elevation.
  • Perform up to 11 hours per shift on concrete floor; work 12‑hour shifts day or night, including weekends and holidays; work at elevations of 10ft or more.
  • Perform actions requiring bending, turning/twisting, kneeling, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching out, wrist turning, grasping, pinching, and finger manipulation.
