Job summary

HP Hood is seeking a Production Operator to support our Springfield, MA facility. You will follow established procedures to produce quality products while prioritizing safety and efficiency. Shift is 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat).

Responsibilities include operating and cleaning filling equipment, maintaining documentation, and meeting production quotas. Prior manufacturing experience and strong teamwork are valued in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate and clean high speed filling machines in a sanitary, efficient manner.

Job Summary:

Under direction of the Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager, will follow all established procedures and policies, while producing a product that meets or exceeds available standards while prioritizing safety, quality and efficiency to meet the goals of the company.

Shift: 1:00PM to 9:30PM (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all tasks and functions related to operating and cleaning filling equipment.
• Operate and clean multiple high speed filling machines in a sanitary, efficient, and effective manner.
• Complete paperwork as per government regulations and HP Hood requirements.
• Safely operate all assigned equipment following JHA requirements.
• Consistently meet production quotas.
• Comply with all policies and guidelines outlined for production and sanitation processes.
• Participate in cross-training efforts to maximize departmental efficiency.
• Maintain weights, codes, packaging, temperature levels and sanitizing to ensure quality products.
• Work in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors and peers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
• Basic Computer Skill preferred
• Ability to work well with people.
• Communication skills are a must.
• Multi-tasked Individual.
• Ability to work independently and in a team based atmosphere.

The pay range for this position is $31.29—$33.48 USD
