Job summary

HP Hood in Massachusetts is seeking a motivated production operator to help run high-speed filling lines, prioritize safety and quality, and support efficient manufacturing.

You will work 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday; perform equipment setup, cleaning, and basic paperwork, with opportunities for cross-training.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma is required.
• Prior manufacturing experience in a plant preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to multi-task and work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and clean filling equipment on a high-speed line.
• Follow safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
• Complete paperwork per HP Hood requirements.
• Maintain weights, codes, temperatures and sanitation.
• Cross-train to support other stations as needed.
• Meet production quotas and cooperate with team.

Job Summary:

Under direction of the Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager, will follow all established procedures and policies, while producing a product that meets or exceeds available standards while prioritizing safety, quality and efficiency to meet the goals of the company.

Shift: 1:00PM to 9:30PM (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all tasks and functions related to operating and cleaning filling equipment.
• Operate and clean multiple high speed filling machines in a sanitary, efficient, and effective manner.
• Complete paperwork as per government regulations and HP Hood requirements.
• Safely operate all assigned equipment following JHA requirements.
• Consistently meet production quotas.
• Comply with all policies and guidelines outlined for production and sanitation processes.
• Participate in cross-training efforts to maximize departmental efficiency.
• Maintain weights, codes, packaging, temperature levels and sanitizing to ensure quality products.
• Work in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors and peers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
• Basic Computer Skill preferred
• Ability to work well with people.
• Communication skills are a must.
• Multi-tasked Individual.
• Ability to work independently and in a team based atmosphere.
