Job summary

Pretium is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Mold/Setup Technician for the day shift (6:00am–6:00pm) to keep plastic extrusion and blow molding equipment running at peak performance. You will install, calibrate, and troubleshoot molds, tooling, and auxiliary equipment, and ensure quality standards are met.

Candidates should have 3–5+ years in manufacturing with blow molding, strong mechanical troubleshooting, CMMS familiarity, and the ability to lift heavy molds.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with blow molding machinery.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift molds and perform manual tasks (bending, twisting, climbing).
• Ability to use hand tools and perform mechanical troubleshooting.
• Understanding of plastics, polymer materials, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Proficient in reading technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to detect quality flaws and maintain precision settings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Familiarity with CMMS software and preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Proactive mindset and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Mold maintenance, cleaning, polishing, and lubricating molds and components.
• Install, align, and remove molds for production and changeovers.
• Set up blow molding equipment, adjust temperatures and parison programming.
• Identify and fix production issues to minimize downtime.
• Adjust machine settings to meet quality and production speed.
• Inspect and weigh finished products to ensure specifications with precision tools.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and routine maintenance.
• Record production data, downtime, and material usage.
• Provide technical training to maintenance and setup teams.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality teams to reduce downtime.
• Ensure proper hand-off at end of shift and end-of-shift reports.
• Maintain CMMS logs and equipment records.
• Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Communicate issues clearly to the team and operations.
• Follow safety protocols including LOTO, GMP, and PPE.
