SUMMARY: The Blow Mold Process Technician is responsible for equipment startups and shutdowns, responding to operator issues, and other duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Start up and shut down equipment as scheduled.
- Complete first piece sign-off, reviewing concerns.
- Verify setup and materials match BOM and regrind usage.
- Respond to operator problems and Plantstar calls.
- Communicate shift issues, perform machine walk-throughs, and update on job status.
- Support engineering sample runs and provide floor support.
- Review operational reports, guide job setters, and sign off on job sets.
- Participate in health, safety, and environmental activities.
- Prepare auxiliary items, purge, clean molds, and tag last shot.
- Maintain good attendance for timely work completion.
- Must have plastics/injection molding experience.
- Knowledge of Quality Systems as per company manuals.
- Maintain compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required.
- Previous blow mold processing automotive experience required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Regular sitting, standing, talking, hearing, walking. Climbing, bending, squatting, reaching, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Focus adjustment required.
