Job summary

Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America, seeks a Blow Mold Operator for 1st shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) to produce plastic containers safely and efficiently.

You will monitor lines, operate bagger/debagger stations, perform minor repairs, train teammates, document data, and ensure GMP and health-safety standards are met.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred; warehouse/production experience preferred.
  • Certification/licensing may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate blow molding machines to produce containers safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor lines for damaged bottles and ensure quality standards.
  • Operate bagger and debagger stations and perform minor repairs.
  • Train others on blow mold operations and document procedures per SOPs.
  • Maintain communication with departments to ensure productivity and safety.
  • Record data and analyze process/equipment performance to improve quality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and maintain GMP compliance.
  • Report food safety/quality issues to management immediately.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to health and safety regulations.

Sign on Bonus of $1,500 for External Candidates

General Purpose

Operate plastic blow molding machines to ensure production of containers is made in a safe, efficient, and high-quality manner according to established company policies and procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor conveyor lines for damaged bottles.
  • Operate bagger and debagger stations.
  • Troubleshoot and implement minor repairs of blow mold equipment.
  • Train others on blow Mold operations.
  • Maintain open communication with other departments, management, and employees to notify of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict efficiency.
  • Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's.
  • Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
  • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
  • Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment.

  • Able to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Able to legibly write entries for record keeping.
  • Able to use company computer systems.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to follow directions.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
