Job summary

Walser Automotive Group is seeking a service support professional in Minnesota to assist the service team with warranty knowledge, liaise with extended warranty companies, and ensure repair orders are fully documented. You will coordinate vehicle rentals, uphold safety standards, and help provide the best customer experience possible.

Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years in automotive dealerships, strong communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Compensation: $21.00 per hour.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist the service team with leadership in warranty knowledge and information
• Aid in contacting extended warranty companies for claim approval
• Check vehicle and Repair Order (RO) information compliance
• Ensure all supporting documentation for repairs are attached to repair orders
• Correct labor ops, symptoms, defect codes
• Confirm accurate technician repair documentation (3 C’s)…cause, concern and correction
• Book tickets after customer has left and ensure payment has been received
• Help processing P2P (Open Invoice) payable system
• Work with teammates to ensure customers receive the best possible experience
• Ensure rental process is followed and completed, including cleanliness of rentals upon return, daily updates on days rented, processing damage claims, etc.
• Write-up and Close Pre-Delivery vehicles
• Coordinate pick up and delivery on all internal vehicles
• Updating Used Vehicle Team on internal repair orders
• Must wear safety eyewear at all times when in dealership service departments
• Must wear hard-toed shoes and slip resistant footwear in when in dealership service departments
• All other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned

What You Bring:

• 2 years of experience in an automotive dealership
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Past experience working with a high level of urgency
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Experience interacting with customer and providing a positive experience
• High level of detail orientation and accuracy
• Beginner to intermediate level of technical proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, word), preference may be given to intermediate level skills
• Proven experience working within a team environment
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
