The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, accurate data handling, and collaboration across the department. An associate degree is required; bachelor’s preferred, with possible certification benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires two or more years of laboratory experience.
• Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Certification in Medical Assistant or Donor Phlebotomy preferred.
• Familiar with SOPs and regulatory guidelines (AABB, FACT, ISO, FDA).

Responsibilities

• Perform platelet processing or quarantine of blood components.
• Accession, sampling, testing, labeling, and quality control.
• Maintain accurate records and document discrepancies.
• Operate equipment and perform calibration/maintenance as needed.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Assist in training and support for new staff.
