Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Distribution Technician to receive, process, pack and ship blood products for hospital orders in a second shift role in Cleveland, Ohio. You will triage orders by required time, maintain accurate records and ensure safe transport with properly packaged products.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years in regulatory, distribution or manufacturing settings, strong computer skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in a regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good computer skills and attention to detail.
• Accurate documentation and decision-making abilities.
• Position may require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, pack and ship blood products/samples for hospital orders.
• Triage orders by date/time needed and ensure safe transport with correct temperature-regulating packaging.
• Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers and vendors; maintain traceability records.
• Perform data entry and maintain manufacturing records; identify and quarantine non-conforming products.
• May make hospital deliveries as assigned.
