Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Blood Product Distribution Technician to handle receiving, processing, packing, and shipping of blood products for hospital orders. You will triage orders by timing, select and pack products maintaining required temperatures, and communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors while preserving traceability of product records.

You may also make hospital deliveries and work a schedule that may include weekends or holidays to support hospitals.

Qualifications

• Good computer skills; able to learn and navigate multiple software programs.
• Strong attention to detail, accurate documentation, and good decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure blood products/samples are suitable for release for distribution while meeting production goals.
• Perform inventory management throughout manufacturing and shipping processes.
• Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements.
• Enter data related to manufacturing, labeling, storage, ordering, and shipping; maintain records.
• Analyze and make decisions based on visual inspection and information from other departments.
