Job summary

The American Red Cross in Fairfield, New Jersey is seeking individuals to join our phlebotomy team. No prior medical experience is required as paid training is provided, and you will contribute to lifesaving blood drives with care and professionalism.

You will assist with donor interaction, transport and set up equipment, and help maintain a welcoming environment while following safety procedures. A valid driver's license and strong customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills required.
• A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and stand for long periods may be required.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take time to personally connect with donors and explain the importance of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detailed oriented to ensure blood collection meets regulatory requirements.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setting up and tearing down equipment.
