Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking a full-time Components Production Technician in Gainesville, FL. The role involves safe handling and processing of blood products in a regulated environment, requiring effective communication skills and the ability to work in a high-volume setting.

The successful candidate will prepare blood components, perform audits, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required. Starting salary is $15.00 - $16.50 per hour, along with generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in a laboratory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare blood and blood products.
• Perform lab audit processes, including quarantine, release, and disposal of blood products.
• Filter blood using dockable filters to provide leuko-reduced products.
