What You Need to Know (Job Overview):

You will utilize your healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with blood collection, including transporting and setting up equipment, creating a welcoming environment for donors, and following safety procedures to collect lifesaving blood donations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Connect personally with donors, listening to their stories and explaining the impact of their donation.
  • Create a welcoming environment to encourage repeat donations.
  • Ensure accuracy and safety in blood collection to meet goals and regulatory standards.
  • May involve driving Red Cross vehicles and setting up/taking down equipment at donation sites. A minimum height of 60 inches may be required for vehicle operation.
Schedule and Pay:

Standard schedule in Gilbert, Arizona, involves variable hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays, with possible overnight travel. Schedule is provided 2-3 weeks in advance.

Starting pay is $18.00/hour, with potential increases based on experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service experience and effective communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Physical ability to lift heavy weights, sit or stand for long periods, and adapt to irregular hours
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)
  • Leadership experience
