What You Need to Know (Job Overview):

Utilize your healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with every step of the blood collection process. This includes collaborating with your team to transport and set up equipment at collection sites, creating a welcoming environment for donors, and following all safety procedures while collecting blood donations that are delivered to hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Connect personally with donors, listen to their stories, and help them understand the impact of their donation.
• Create a welcoming environment to encourage repeat donations.
• Be detail-oriented to ensure blood collection meets goals and safety standards.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup and teardown at donation sites. Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches for safe vehicle operation.

Standard Schedule:

• Work variable hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Overnight travel may be required in some locations.
• Schedule is provided two to three weeks in advance.

Pay Information:

Starting rate $23.00/hour.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience and effective communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights, sit or stand for long periods, and adapt to irregular hours.
• Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches.
• Basic computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
• Leadership experience.
