Job Description

Role Overview

Utilize your healthcare and customer service skills to assist with blood collection. This includes transporting and setting up equipment, creating a welcoming environment for donors, and following safety protocols to collect lifesaving blood donations.

Key Responsibilities

• Connect personally with donors, sharing the impact of their donations.
• Work with your team to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Ensure accuracy and safety in blood collection.
• May operate Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup and teardown at donation sites. Minimum height of 60 inches may be required for vehicle operation.

Schedule

• Variable hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Overnight travel may be required.
• Schedule provided 2-3 weeks in advance.

Compensation

Starting at $23.00/hour.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience and effective communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a good record.
• Physical ability to lift heavy weights, sit or stand for long periods, and adapt to irregular hours. Minimum height of 60 inches for vehicle operation.
• Basic computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or phlebotomy (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
• Leadership experience.
