Job summary

University of Rochester seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technician to support the automated lab workflow. You will perform and interpret routine Blood Bank tests, maintain instruments, manage reagent QC, and communicate clearly with internal and external clients. Location: Rochester, NY, 220 Hutchison Rd.

Full-time, 40 hours/week, onsite. Minimum education includes an Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related field with NYS licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related field, or NYSED-acceptable equivalent.
• NYS licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technician at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret routine Blood Bank tests (ABO/Rh typing, crossmatches, transfusion reaction workups).
• Handle circulator duties, specimen logging, and triage work.
• Maintain and standardize instruments; perform daily quality control.
