Job summary

Labcorp in Mobile, AL is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead the department, ensuring accurate tests and timely reporting while mentoring staff to deliver high-quality results.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science and at least 5 years of clinical laboratory experience; ASCP/AMT certification is preferred. Compliance with CLIA, CAP and state regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 5+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the department.
• Ensure tests are accurately performed and results reported promptly.
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel.
• Monitor workflow and ensure adequate assay coverage and staffing.
• Maintain QA records and ensure compliance with regulations.
