Harmony, an open blockchain project, is seeking experienced engineers to design and optimize secure, scalable decentralized systems.

You will operate a node network, prototype high‑performance components, and collaborate with a diverse team across time zones to ship reliable software. This role requires a strong foundation in systems programming, data structures, and startup pace, with heavy collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in computer science – specializing in kernel, data structures or compilers.
• 5 to 10 years of working experience including 1 year of startup experience.
• 60-hour work week, daily 4-hour overlap with Pacific Time.
• Exceptional communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a blockchain with high security, scalability and decentralization.
• Operate a network of 1000 nodes and $500M assets in open development.
• Optimize 100M requests per second at $250K monthly operational cost.
