Job summary

EY is seeking a Digital Asset Research Center software engineer to join a growing, cross‑regional team focused on testing and auditing digital assets. You will research blockchains and smart contracts while collaborating with auditors to implement testing techniques for asset-related financial statements.

You will contribute to core offerings and tools, share technical memos, and stay current with industry practices. Hybrid work is offered with global collaboration across regions.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related prior work experience in application development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management or related field.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps).
• Proven experience with JavaScript/TypeScript stack (Node.js, Express, React, Angular) and Ethereum/Solidity or similar protocols.
• Testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, etc.
• Database technologies including NoSQL and SQL
• Git or other version control software
• Container technologies such as Docker or Podman
• DevOps and cloud providers like Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience in Agile teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel and work long hours when needed
• Reliable transportation to EY office and client sites.

Responsibilities

• Full‑stack software development including front‑end and back‑end.
• Create technical documentation and memos for complex digital asset topics.
• Collaborate with financial auditors to test financial statement assertions related to digital assets.
• Solve novel technical problems and provide innovative solutions for client solutions and core offerings.
• Keep up-to-date on leading practices in this fast-growing area and identify where new practices can be applied.
