Job summary

Texas Speed & Performance in Georgetown, TX, is seeking a Block Tech I to support the Block Department. The role involves inspecting, prepping, and labeling engine blocks, ensuring traceability, and maintaining clean, safe workflow in a manufacturing setting.

You will work under the Block Department Manager, perform inline quality checks, and follow safety procedures while coordinating with manufacturing staff to keep production moving smoothly.

• Dynamic, high-energy individual with a track record as an effective communicator and uses a collaborative approach to problem solving.
• Exceptional Mechanical Abilities
• Be able to use Measuring Equipment (Mics, Calipers, Bore Gauge, ect..)

Responsibilities

• Engine Tear Down Process (Label components and maintain traceability)
• Visual Inspection of all blocks from start to finish
• Prep blocks and visually inspect blocks before machining
• Prep blocks for engine builds (install cam bearings and plugs)
• Prep sleeves and block for sleeving (deburr sleeves / heat block in oven)
• Maintains positive working relationship with manufacturing personnel and other staff members to support a positive workplace environment.
• Responsible for implementing and enforcing industry standard safety procedures throughout the block department.
• Performs and executes all other duties assigned by direct manager.

Block Tech I – Texas Speed Location

This position is responsible for the Block Department support as listed below for Texas Speed and Performance.

Reports to Block Department Manager.

Pay Range: $16h-$19h

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

• Engine Tear Down Process (Label components and maintain traceability)
