Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking a Pre-Cast Laborer at our Troy, NC plant. The role involves shoveling, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting, lifting, pushing and pulling various objects to support block operations.

You will follow daily production plans, maintain the production bed, and perform routine maintenance while adhering to safety guidelines to keep a clean, safe, and efficient workplace. Successful candidates show reliability and a willingness to work outdoors in varying

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to [specific weight] pounds.
• Strong work ethic and team player attitude.
• Previous experience in a similar role or industry preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and perform a wide range of physical activities.
• Basic mechanical skills are a plus.
• Must adhere to all safety guidelines and wear provided personal protective equipment at all times.
• Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the daily production plan
• Clean and maintains production bed
• Install rebar and strand
• Pour and finishes concrete
• Maintain and improve housekeeping to ensure a safe and productive workplace on an hour by hour, day by day basis
• Complete daily preventive maintenance tasks as assigned, including tool maintenance
• Support development & execution of Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the most efficient use of labor and materials on the line
• Support cross-training of employees
• Produce & promote Quality at the Source
• Responsible for tools and machinery in your area
