Job summary

Titan America is seeking skilled Machine Operators for its New Ellenton, FL concrete block manufacturing facility. Under the direction of the plant manager and lead personnel, operate, monitor, and maintain concrete block manufacturing equipment in a clean, hazard free environment.

The role requires good reading and math skills, ability to lift up to 95 pounds, and at least 1 year of manufacturing machine operation experience. Safety is a key focus with routine inspections and repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Use, read and understand rulers and tape measures.
• Read, write and speak English as required by safety standards and job expectations.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplying, etc.).
• Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Must lift up to 95 pounds and climb ladders as needed.
• At least 1 year of machine operator experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain work area in clean and hazard-free condition.
• Operate machine control panels with electronic switches.
• Visually inspect products and by-products for conformity to quality standards; remove rejects.
• Make minor adjustments and repairs on machinery (e.g., removing jams).
• Monitor manufacturing equipment for malfunctions and report issues.
• Perform quality control and document results.
• Empty reject dumpsters and clean around conveyors and batching equipment.
• Support maintenance, cleaning, and repair of machinery as required.
• Follow all safety rules.

Under the direction of the plant manager, shiftsupervisorand/or other designated leadpersonnelthe Machine Operatormaintainsthe facility in a clean, orderly and hazard free condition. This position willoperate, monitor, andmaintainconcrete block manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain work area in clean andhazard freecondition.

• Operate machine control panels with electronic switches.

• Visually inspect products and by-products for conformity to prescribed quality standards such as color,shapeand corners. Removepoor qualityproducts and by-products asrequired.

• Make minoradjustmentand repairs on machinery, such as removing jams.

• Monitor the operation of manufacturing equipment to detect and report malfunctions.

• Perform quality control and fill out documentation.

• Emptyrejectdumpsters, clean loose material from around conveyors and batching equipment.

• Perform other functions and duties asrequiredor directed, such asassistingwith maintenance,cleaningand repair of machinery.

• Follow all safety rules.

• Must be able to perform duties requiring bending, stooping,squattingand crawling.

• Must be able to lift concrete products and other objects weighing up to 95 pounds each from floor level to heights up to 4 feet.

• Must be able to climb ladders to heights of 7 feet or more.

• Theappropriate candidatewillpossessat least 1-year experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to perform duties requiring bending, stooping, squatting, and crawling at least 50% of shift. Requires standing 75% of shift (Based on 8 ~ 12-hour shift).

• Must be able to lift concrete products and other objects weighing up to 95 pounds each from floor level to heights up to 4 feet.

• Must be able to climb ladders up to 7 feet to access material hoppers and equipment platforms.

• This position will work inside with seasonal temperatures ranging from 25° to 100° F
